What this site keeps, and what it does not.

Who runs this site

This site, vmlinfluencers.com, is run by VML, which builds and runs creator sales teams for brands. Creators use it to apply to join a team. VML's brand site is vermarkterlab.com.

The data controller is VML, Toronto, Canada.

The interest form

When you send the form, we keep your answers: your first name, your email, your main account (the @handle or profile link you give) and the platform you post on most, your follower range, your niche, and your timezone or country if you leave one in the form (it can be filled in from your device's timezone, and you can change or clear it before sending). We also keep the two boxes you ticked (that you're 18 or older with a mostly adult audience, and that we can email you), the exact wording you agreed to, the date and time you sent it, and which version of the form sent it (with or without JavaScript).

With each form, our server also records the country your connection came from, as Cloudflare reports it, and your browser's user-agent string, which names your browser and device type. We use these only to spot spam and duplicate sends, and we clear them after 30 days. We don't store your IP address.

The form doesn't ask for your date of birth, address, ID, payment or tax details, or anything about your health. Please leave them out of your answers too.

Why we keep it

To review your profile, to email you about your application and, if it looks like a fit, to book a 30-minute intro call. We don't use it for anything else. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we never sell or rent what you send.

When we review your form, we look at your public profile and note where your application stands and what kind of creator you are. If we invite you to an intro call, we copy your name, account, platform, niche and timezone into our internal creator tracker, with our notes on fit and your public follower count.

Who sees it

The people at VML who review applications. We don't share your answers with any brand. If you join after the intro call, you sign up with the brand yourself, under its own privacy policy.

Where it's stored

This site and the form run on Cloudflare, which hosts the page and stores your answers in a database for us. If we invite you to a call, some of your answers are also kept in our creator tracker, a spreadsheet in VML's own files. A deletion request removes you from both.

To stop spam, our server keeps a short-lived counter for each connection. The counter is a scrambled code made from your IP address, not the address itself, and it's deleted within two hours.

When a form arrives, we may get an email alert that a new form is waiting. The alert doesn't contain any of your answers.

Cloudflare (hosting and the database) and Google (the font files) handle this data for us and may process it outside your country.

How long we keep it

If you don't join, we delete your form within 12 months of when you sent it. If you join, it becomes part of your onboarding record.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, ad networks, trackers or pixels. If you press Pause motion, that choice is saved in your own browser so the page remembers it, and nothing else is stored there. The only outside service the page loads is Google Fonts: your browser fetches the type files from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details with that request.

Your choices

To see, correct or delete what you sent, or to withdraw your application, email michael@vermarkterlab.com.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the privacy regulator where you live.
